TEXAS GAS DISTRIBUTION
With ZTEX’s continuous growth, our Texas Gas/OneGas department has added a Texas Gas Distribution division led by our foreman Johnny Aragon, maintenance specialist Sonia Alvarez, and their crew.
Both Johnny and Lead man Bryan Juarez went through extensive training to become the only two certified in PVC pipe fusion installers in all of El Paso. You can find them laying commercial and main gas lines all around El Paso or at some of our current job sites. Our distribution crew successfully installed six hundred feet of underground PVC pipe using a fusion board process at the Eastlake Marketplace site located on the I-10 and Eastlake Blvd corner.
FUSION PIPING
The fusion piping process joins two pieces of pipes together with heat and pressure. Fused pipes create a monolithic pipeline with fewer mechanical transitions, meaning fewer opportunities for leaks. The same procedure was used at the Project William El Paso Fulfillment Center site with 600 feet of PVC piping using the fusion board process. It was done on a slope, which makes it difficult, but we completed the job with no problem, said Johnny. It's the hard work from our crews that make ZTEX's success possible
