iFLY INDOOR SKYDIVING
The start of the city gentrification is only just beginning. Renovations and new development are happening left and right, most of it at Montecillo. The latest addition to this Smart Growth Community is iFly Indoor Skydiving. iFLY has 72 locations, 26 which are international. Reported in an El Paso Inc article, the company hopes to expand to 100 locations worldwide within the nest 18 months.

If you’ve lived in El Paso long enough, chances are you’re familiar with the saying “There is nothing to do here.” But guess what? Things are changing! So much has happened over the last five years. Let’s look back to 2013; the City had started working on the Triple-A Baseball Stadium and the Fountains at Farah. ZTEX took part in both of these and continues to be part of El Paso’s growth. And even farther back ZTEX was part of the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso, just to show how far we’ve come.
MONTECILLO ON TOP
EPT Land Communities is one of the first to bring a Smart Growth Community to the Sun City. It’s no secret that Montecillo is becoming one of the top places in El Paso. It’s the place for fun, entertainment, dining, and shopping all within walking distance. Visit Hillside Coffee and Donut Co. on National Donut Day, take your crush for lunch at Independent Burger, or get your sister the perfect birthday gift from one of the local shops. Even if you just go to walk around and look at the murals or sit by the fountain, your experience at Montecillo will always be different.
More of a night-life person? Come out and enjoy events like the TI:ME Sunset Markets filled with live music and art. Select from dozens of Texas craft beers at Tin Man. Visit Malolam for a Friday night out with friends to start your weekend. Attend a movie party for your favorite classic at Alamo Drafthouse. Or visit the open-air golfing range at Topgolf. I can go on and on about things there are to do at Montecillo, but I promise experiencing it for yourself is way more fun than reading about it.
Now speaking of Topgolf, this new entertainment spot is a game changer. If you don’t typically golf, like me, it is definitely a fun way to play the game. Or if you are an avid golfer, it is the place to practice your backswing. This is a place for every family member to have a great time. The Franklin Mountain scenery and warm summer nights add to the overall experience, unlike any other. Coming to El Paso puts us on the chart to bring in people from all over. And to even attract more development. Montecillo already has plans to add a Marriott Hotel & Resort with a pool and waterslides, restaurants, and venue for parties. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited to see what El Paso brings next as our hometown continues to grow.

This project was the first time ZTEX has worked with ARCO/Murray, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We were one of many subcontractors, which wasn’t always easy, but by being proactive, ARCO/Murray was able to smooth out any issue. Leading the development with full command and coordination the project came out a success. In the end, months of hard work and long hours paid off. We look forward to future work with ARCO/Murray.
